Remediation Steps: At this time we propose to re-excavate an area 5 feet <br /> on the east and west sides starting from the middle of the excavation, south <br /> to a point 5 feet past the end of the former pump island, a distance of 25 <br /> feat. The excavation will then be 25 feet wide and 25 feet, long. We propose <br /> s- <br /> to excavate to a depth of 22 feet, Hopefully this will remove all of the . <br /> contamination. Soil samples can be taken from the sidewalls and bottom at the <br /> completion of the,excavation. Frir (4) sidewall samples will be taken at a <br /> `j <br /> { depth of 24 feet. Four (4) additional samples will be taken at a depth of <br /> 15 deet, but only analyzed if bottom sidewall samples show contamination. Ont <br /> (1) sample from each wall. Two (2) bottom sanples will be taken at the <br /> direction of San .Joaquin Local Health District Representative. All excavated <br /> g .
