However PHS/EHD stated in January 7, 1991 correspondence to Mr. <br />' William J. Hunter that in "wet" years (1983 & 1986) the high water mark may <br /> have been as high as 40 feet below ground surface (BGS). At time of drilling <br /> SB-1 groundwater was not encountered above 42 feet BGS, the maximum <br /> depth advanced. <br /> 3.3 Hydrocarbon Distribution in the Soil <br /> ' Soil samples were collected during the UST removal, initial over excavation, <br /> later re-excavation, and while drilling SB-1. This data combined with the <br /> results of the stockpile soil sample are summarized and shown below as Table <br /> 1.
