Groundwater Monitoring <br /> The following monitoring program shall be implemented at the facility to determine compliance with the <br /> Water Quality Protection Standards, state action levels, and to monitor impacts to the groundwater by <br /> the surface impoundment. These WDRs require that a groundwater monitoring network will be <br /> established at the facility prior to discharging waste to a Class lI Surface Impoundment. At a minimum <br /> the groundwater monitoring network will consists of one upgradient background monitoring well and <br /> two monitoring wells located at the downgradient edge of the surface impoundment and one monitoring <br /> well located downgradient from the oil water separator. Board staff must approve monitoring well <br /> location and construction details prior to well installation. <br /> Groundwater elevation shall be measured quarterly in all monitoring wells at the facility. Groundwater <br /> elevations shall be plotted to produce a groundwater contour map. <br /> Each monitoring well shall be purged three times its well volume or until dry prior to sampling. Metal <br /> analysis shall be reported as dissolved (filter).
