Gayton <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> CONSULTANTS <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This Health and Safety Plan describes the procedures that shall be implemented to <br /> safeguard the health and safety of employees engaged in field work at the Fortifiber <br /> Corporation located at 501 E. Acacia Street in Tracy, California. <br /> This Health and Safety Plan complies with the applicable federal, state, and local <br /> health requirements including the California Occupational Safety and Health <br /> Administration's (Cal-OSHA) requirements, Title 8, California Code of Regulations, <br /> Section 5192 (8 CCR 5192) and the federal OSHA requirements, Title 29, Code of <br /> Federal Regulations, Section 1910.1200 (29 CFR 1910.1200). <br /> The observance and practice of health and safety procedures and applicable federal, <br /> state, and local regulations are mandatory for all employees. In the event of <br /> conflicting requirements, the procedures that provide the highest degree of required <br /> personal protection shall be implemented. <br /> A copy of the site health and safety plan shall be kept on site and made available for <br /> inspection and review by employees, clients, agency personnel, and other visitors. <br /> 2.0 EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBERS AND STANDARD PROCEDURE <br /> When a person is injured, the Site Safety Officer (SSO) or other qualified personnel <br /> must (1) take charge, (2) provide necessary decontamination, (3) administer first aid, <br /> and (4) arrange for medical assistance.
