' • Borings GP-15, 16, and 17: Groundwater samples were collected at 12 feet bgs. The groundwater samples were also submitted for the requested analyses to BSK under COC ' protocol. 1.3 Laboratory Analyses ' Soil Soil samples from each borehole were submitted to BSK and were analyzed for the following: ' • Total extractable petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel and motor oil (TEPH-D, MO) by EPA method 3540/8015 (m), Semi-Volatiles by EPA method 8270, and 5-metals by EPA method 6010. The detection limits for these compounds are listed below. ' Analysis/Method: TEPH-D, MO Semi-Volatiles/ 5-metals/ 8015 8270 6010 Detection Limits: 5 2.0 SITE GEOLOGY ' The soils beneath the site consisted of very dark brown, slightly plastic silty clay down to the capillary fringe, 6.5 to 7 feet bgs. The soil hen became lighter brown very plastic clay down to approximately 11 feet bgs. In several o the boreholes, sandy clay was encountered from 11 to 12 feet bgs. The soils between 12 and 37 feet bgs consisted of sandy clay with thin gravel and clay lenses. Groundwater was ecountered in the boreholes from between 6 and 8 feet bgs. 7 The boring logs that summarize information and observations made in the field are included in Appendix C. i 1
