Acacia St, Tracy, California Project No. 774.2 March 1, 1999 1.0 INTRODUCTION ' In October 1998, Geological Technics Inc. performed a Phase I ESA at the above referenced site. A Phase 11 ESA was performed during December 1998. The results of this assessment showed several areas of concern as identified in the report dated January 4, 1999. Given the data gathered during this soil testing and presented above, Geological Technics Inc. concludes the following: 1. Of the eight areas investigated, seven of them contained contamination as reviewed below: • AST—trace concentration of motor oil @ 6.5 ft ' • UST -trace concentration of motor oil @ 6.5 ft • Waste Storage (boiler house)—moderate concentrations of diesel @ 1 ft • Paint Shed—trace concentrations of xylene in groundwater • Trash Compactor—moderate concentrations of motor oil @ 1 ft ' Former Storage Area—elevated concentration of motor oil in groundwater samples • Warehouse—elevated concentration of diesel and moderate concentration of motor oil @ loft 2. Of the seven areas that contain contamination, it is concluded that only two are of concern and should be investigated further: • Former Storage Area— ' ❑ most of the soil had been cleaned up in 1995 ❑ groundwater contamination was not addressed ❑ the extent of groundwater contamination has not been determined • Warehouse ' ❑ the sources of the diesel and motor oil are not known ❑ the extent of the soil contamination is not known ❑ the extent to which groundwater may be impacted is not known It is concluded that the other five areas that contain trace levels of contamination are not of concern and further investigation is not recommended
