Margaret Lagorio [EH]
From: Margaret Lagorio[EH]
Sent: Thursday, May 18, 2006 8:51 AM
To: Donna Heran [EH]; Laurie Cotulla [EH]
Subject: Flag City
I called Cecil Dillon this morning and let him know that we had all the reports from the Chevron site through July 2005 and
explained that after that date consultants had to place all reports and information on contaminated sites on Geotracker. I
briefly explained to him how to get into Geotracker but he didn't seem that interested. We also discussed groundwater
flow directions changing in that area depending on the influence and that the release at the Shell was discovered through
monitoring well sampling for the Chevron. This led to discussions about UST releases that may not be caught by
monitoring equipment. He brought up Flying J because he had seen an article about the ones in our county. I told him I
didn't have details on the site at Flag City, that I was not aware of any documented releases there and that I thought the
issue might be not having properly operating leak detectors or over riding monitoring equipment. He seemed appreciative
of this information and said if he could be of any help to call him.
1
