She is willing to help us all, but needs
correct information on: First, the copy of ownership of the property and
improvements, which is me (I will take care of that issue) ; Second, a copy
of New West Stations, Inc. incorporation documents (I will take care of that
issue also) ; Third, San Joaquin County needs to order New West Stations,
Inc. , the operator, NOT NEW WEST PETROLEUM, to clean up the site. If we can
have the correct documentation by tomorrow, I have an appointment to hand
deliver everything to Barbara personally on Weds. at 11:30am Wednesday
morning and she will expedite the entire process.
I am sorry for the confusion. The confusion was our fault and self induced
by not paying attention to detail. Apparently, tank permits were
accidentally put in New West Petroleum's name, instead of New West Stations,
Inc. 's name. I will correct that also, but that will take a little bit of
time via mail. Once again, sorry for the confusion. Thanks. I was trying to set up a
meeting with her, Apex Envirotech, and Gil Moore to clarify the
relationship between Gil Moore (property owner) , New West Stations
(lease and operator) , and New West Petroleum (nothing to do with the
site) . She said she is working on a letter and will mail it out shortly.
She said that they do not meet in person (usually) . She prefers to do
it in writing or with a phone call (which both Apex and New West
Stations has done on numerous occasions) . She did say that once the
site has been approved, it will take at least 6 months (or more) before
any funding. This is not acceptable.
As you all know, there are two very close municipal supply wells located
by this site. Gil Moore, New West Stations and Apex have been moving
this site into remediation in a very short timeframe at great expense.
We do not know whythe Fund can not understand that Gil Moore owns the u
i' a¢
property, New West Stations lease and operates the site, and New West_.
Petr_ole_u_m_ has nothing to do with this site. This has been communicated 1 _
to the Fund on numerous times, and they still do not understand this.
This and future delays with the Fund are causing great financial
hardships for both Gil Moore and Apex. We will continue to work with
the County and Water Board to get this site in active remediation ASAP
(on going as we speak) , but the Fund needs to start reimbursing money
1
