Soil samples will be submitted for analyses for total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons (TPH) as crude oil (TPHc; C8 to C36 carbon range)by EPA Method 8015M, for <br /> polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)by EPA Method 8270 SIM, and for benzene, <br /> toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) by EPA Method 8020. After the borings are <br /> completed, temporary 1-inch-diameter PVC casings with 10-foot-long well screens will be <br /> installed in four of the borings. Following installation of the monitoring points, groundwater <br /> samples will be collected. The groundwater samples will be submitted for analyses for TPH <br /> quantified as gasoline(C4 to C12 carbon range)by EPA Method 8015M; for TPH quantified as <br /> diesel (TPHd; CIO to C24 carbon range) by EPA Method 8015M; for PAHs by EPA Method <br /> 8270 SIM; and for BTEX by EPA Method 8020. Sample extracts will be cleaned up with <br /> silica gel prior to TPHc and TPHd analyses. Following sample collection, the borings will be <br /> backfilled with grout <br /> Field activities will be performed after receiving approval from San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services—Environmental Health Division and RWQCB to perform the work. <br /> Following receipt of analytical results, Geomatrix will prepare a report documenting field <br /> activities and analytical results for submittal to San Joaquin Environmental Health Division <br /> and RWQCB.
