We assume all
water went to the storm drain.Subsequently,Aramark engaged a vacuum truck service company which
pumped out approximately 20,000 gallons of the water collected in the storm water vault and
transferred it to a frac tank(Attachment 2,Site Photos).Aramark personnel provided notification to the
following parties:
1. California Office of Emergency Services(OES)
2. San Joaquin Valley Storm Water/Public Works Department.
Based on the notification provided by Aramark to OES, on Monday May 4th representatives from the
San Joaquin County Health Dept. and Municipal Utility District contacted Aramark to follow-up on the
spill incident. Since the San Joaquin County Health Department had jurisdiction over the storm water
system, Mr. Garett Backus recommended additional due diligence be performed to confirm if the
resulting spill impacted the remaining storm water system and subsequently remove the remaining
water from the system. Based on this request,Aramark retained EEC to oversee the cleanup efforts.
' On May 8th, 2015 EEC conducted a site visit to sample the water in the vault, collect information about
the storm water system, and remove more water from the storm water vault to the frac tanks. The
quantity of remaining water in the storm water system was estimated to be approximately 40,000
gallons. Environmental Health indicated that the entire storm water system should be pumped out
because of the likelihood of the accidental discharged water mixing with water previously collected in
the system. The Stockton Municipal Utility District informed Aramark that, depending on the lab results
' and after obtaining a special permit, it would allow the discharge of the water into the sanitary sewer
provided the water is first treated through Aramark's onsite wastewater treatment system.
