Beckman <br /> Lodi, CA 95266 <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, ;,.Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS/EHD) has reviewed the "Summary of Quarterly <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Program" report, dctted:l September 15, 1993 and <br /> submitted by Weston. <br /> PHS/EHD stated in a letter dated March 11, 1993 to John Stroh of <br /> the Mosquito Abatement District that further',tinvestigation of the <br /> contaminated soil would be required for 'a- site closure <br /> certification. The options stated were. <br /> a. Long-term groundwater monitoring <br /> (soil investigation will eventually be required) <br /> b. Soil borings to define the extent of <br /> contamination followed byllappropriate <br /> remediation based upon feasibility and <br /> economics. <br /> At this time PHS/EHD requests a workplan be submitted to this <br /> office by December 16, 1993 for additional soil borings to <br /> investigate the extent of contamination. :,In addition, PHS/EHD <br /> recommends the construction of a downgrad I ient,,well placed within 10 <br /> feet of the source of contamination.
