Samples were labeled with stick-on labels filled
out in indelible ink, with the following information
Site name
Date collected
Time collected
Sample ID
Sampler's initials
Analysis required
Sample containers were individually sealed in resealable, ziplock plastic bags and placed with
ice in an insulated chest Samples were hand-delivered with a chain-of-custody document on the
day of collection to the WESTON Analytics' laboratory in Stockton, California This laboratory
' is certified by the State of California to perform the required analyses Samples were submitted
for analysis of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G) by EPA Method 8015
(modified), and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene (BTEX) by EPA Method 8020
The bailer used to sample the well was decontaminated prior to use by an initial wash in an
alconox-water solution with a stiff bristle brush, followed with a potable water rinse and a final
spray rinse with distilled water. The well sounding device was decontaminated in a similar
manner prior to use at each well The thin nylon line used to lower the bailer into the well was
disposed of after each use Purge water and decontamination ansate were transferred into a 55-
gallon drum and stored onsite pending the analytical results
IsIXMPrsNwCMAWP A-3 ,
