AIR MONITORING WITH PID OR FID <br /> A photoionization detector(PID) or flame ionization detector(FID)will be used onsite to <br /> monitor for total ionizable compounds in the air,particularly in the areas of sampling. <br /> Because the PID/FID measures the total ionizable compounds (TICS), action levels have <br /> ' been established specifically for PID/FID readings at the site. GENERAL SAFETY EQUIPMENT <br /> The following items must be available and easily accessible for use: <br /> ➢ Fire extinguisher(foam, dry chemical, or carbon dioxide) <br /> ➢ Flashlight/lantems (Clayton will use portable battery powered lanterns if lighting is <br /> insufficient in areas inside the building). <br /> 6.
