<br /> Note that the consolidated monitoring schedule incorporates wells that were installed to
<br /> monitor performance of the Phase IV and Phase V IRAs(see Section 2.3.3).The design
<br /> lifespan of the substrate that was injected in early 2008 as part of the Phase V IRA was
<br /> approximately five years;consequently,Phase V IRA performance monitoring should
<br /> continue for one more year at a minimum.
<br /> During the reporting period,the following was conducted outside of the RWQCB-
<br /> approved sampling schedule to further assess the extent of the plume:a sample was
<br /> collected from one additional monitoring well(MW-2128)and submitted to the
<br /> California-certified laboratory Alpha Analytical, Inc. ("Alpha")for volatile organic
<br /> compounds(VOCs)analysis using United States Environmental Protection Agency
<br /> (EPA)Method 82608(8260 compound list).Groundwater sample analytical results for
<br /> MW-212B are included in the discussion in Section 2.3 and presented in Table 2.
<br /> 2. Groundwater Monitoring and Groundwater Level Measurement
<br /> This section summarizes the monitoring activities conducted during the reporting period
<br /> and presents the results of these activities.
<br /> Fifty-eight groundwater monitoring wells("monitoring wells")and 26 groundwater
<br /> piezometers("piezometers")are included in the periodic monitoring program at the Site.
