2905 West Benjamin Holt Drive DRAFT <br /> Page 2 <br /> The recently enacted S13562, the Thompson-Richter Underground Storage Tank Reform <br /> Act, which becomes effective on January 1, 1997, provides for the ability of the State <br /> Water Resources Control Board to suspend (for a period of time) additional corrective <br /> action or investigation work based on a preliminary site assessment, if after consultation <br /> with the Local Agency and the Regional Water Quality Control Board, the State Board <br /> determines that the eligible site is not an emergency site. As before and after enactment <br /> of this legislation, you have the ability to appeal regulatory actions or directives to the <br /> State Water Resources Control Board. <br /> Please note that in order to remain in compliance:with directives issued by PHS/EHD <br /> pursuant to Chapter 6.7 of the Health and Safety. Code: §25298, §25299, and <br /> §25299.2,you shall initiate drilling activities within the next 14 days.
