The water samples were collected directly from the discharge valve between <br /> the pump and the separator tank. The sample collected April 12, 1989, was analyzed for <br /> trace metals (cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, nickel, and zinc) by EPA Method 6010, <br /> benzene, ethylbenzene, toluene, and xylene (BETX) and total petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> (TPH) by EPA Method 8015, modified. (Table 1). Volatile hydrocarbons for the April 12, <br /> 1989, sample was calculated by subtracting the BETX fraction from the TPH results. <br /> Table 1.
