The insulation that you are concerned with
in pictures we also discussed and they are working to correct. Mr. Goodall is forwarding this report along with the
other items 1 have requested. The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District is the lead agency for
Asbestos, fiberglass insulation, if not contained properly and there phone number is 209-577-6400. If you have
further question you can e-mail or call. Also, as per our phone conversation earlier
today, I am sending you some additional concerns. Years ago it was decided Tracy High School was to
be renovated. Asbestos was found it the main building. Due to this finding, it was decided renovation
was not a cost effective option. The building was demolished and a new building is currently under
construction. It is my understanding that asbestos is an issue in other buildings on this campus. With
current conditions, I would like to know if exposure is an issue.
I also mentioned there was fiberglass insulation exposed in the Boy's Sub-gym, is this a possible health
threat? There were pictures of this area in the Board powerpoint presentation, I noticed it is not in the
email I originally sent you.
There are two THS Staff Members directly involved with these issues and can supply additional details.
Both have offered to supply any information you might require for a thorough investigation:
Amanda Bowman
Physical Education
Tracy High School
(209) 830-3360 ext. 2282
Derrick Solano
Physical Education Department Chair
209-830-9960
Thank you,

4/29/2008
