FROM TAIT & ASSOCIATES - Sac =ntc FAX NO. : 9166352606 Jan. 02 2002 11:12AM P2
January 2, 2002
Via: Fax
Dennis Catanyag
San Joaquin County Environmental Health
304 E Weber Avenue Third Floor
Stockton, CA 95202
Phone (209) 468-3459
RE: ARCO Facility # 6100
25775 S. Patterson Pass
Tracy, CA 45376
TAIT Job # AR 1402
Dear Dennis:
Please find my response to your plan check letter dated X2/31/01:
1. Contractor information is included in this fax.
2. 1 wish to clarify that the removed piping will be hauled as hazardous waste under a
manifest.
3. Page nine of the tank closure application has been signed by Scott Listar the BP/ARCO
engineer for Northern California and is included in this fax.
4. The current turbine configuration for the four tanks is as follows. One turbine for the 92
tank, one turbine for the 89 tank and one turbine for the two 87 tanks. The new turbine
configuration will be a new turbine for all four tanks, which are being converted to a
blending system with the following configuration. One turbine for the 92 tank and one
turbine in each of the three 87 tanks. Cut sheet for the turbine is included in this fax.
5. Drawing numbers five and six show a typical piping configuration connection at the turbine
sump for the new proposed piping. Drawing four has been crossed out as the manifold
piping shown in this detail already exists in the current configuration and will not be
replaced. These four tanks currently have a future line manifolded to each sump and that
will be used to manifold the three 87 tanks to one line from the tanks to the dispensers.
Instead of four product lines the proposed configuration will result in two.
6. TK2-1A item 25 refers to the tank level gauge, which is listed on sheet TK4-3 and shows
VR-847390-109. The cut sheet for this is included. TK3-3, detail 12 shows the under
dispenser sump sensor item which is listed on sheet TK4-3 and shows VR-794380-208.
The mechanical line leak detector was installed during the tank upgrade in 1990 and is a
Vaporless LD-2000. The cut sheet for this is included.
