M
• Chemical resistant gloves
i b
AIR MONITORING
Air monitoring will be performed to eva, uate potential personal exposure to hazardous
substances at the site during field activities. Decisions concerning respirator use will be
based upon the air monitoring results. At this site, the following air monitoring survey
will be performed as nbeded to identify potential levels of airborne contaminants:
,I stm-ment Conjaminuts
Photoionization detector Total organic vapor
Sensidyne gas pump with Specific organic vapors
y appropriate colorimetric tut es
LIFL meter Flammable or explosive
atmosphere
SITE CONTROL MEASURES
The site is located at a gasoline service station in a residential and commercial area;
exposure to chemicals and safety accidents must be minimized. Control boundaries will
! be established with red tape, pylons, or other measures as necessary. Should chemical
exposure through the respiratory pathway exceed the levels established in this plan, work
:
will cease and the site will be cleared of personnel and bystanders until such time as the
Mai
potential for exposure has been under control. The ES field supervisor will implement
boundary control and site containment measures if necessary.
DECONTAMINATION PROCEDURES
It is not anticipated that extraordinary decontamination procedures will be required as
a result of on-site investigation activities. All cleanup will be undertaken with soap and
water.
-10-
'" 172-14.81 3/6191
