Beverly Place, Tracy, California
Dear Mr. Kenning:
Pursuant to our discussions during our meeting of May 17,2005, Conestoga-Rovers &
Associates, Inc. (CRA)has reviewed the most recent data associated with the Church property
site investigation located at 104 W. Beverly Place and evaluated these data to determine impacts
to the Tracy Unified School District's (TUSD) Alfred Clover Middle School; located at 51 E.
Beverly Place.
The following discussion provides a summary of the data reviewed and the observations made.
The Church property site, located at 104 W. Beverly Place in Tracy,California has known soil
and groundwater contamination resulting from a leaking underground fuel storage tank. Since
1994, site investigation activities have been conducted under the oversight of the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Division (EHD). The compounds of concern (COC)have been
identified as gasoline range organic compounds (GRO). The depth to groundwater at the site
has been characterized at 31 to 33 feet beneath the ground surface (bgs) with a gradient to the
north of 0.003 ft/ft with slight northwest and northeast tangents with a gradient of 0.006 ft/ft.
The site investigation and monitoring activities have been conducted by Advanced
GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGI) of Stockton, California.
Based on the most recent data reviewed by CRA in the form of the AGI 2004—Third Quarter
Report (previously provided to you), the extent of the groundwater plume of TPH-g in excess of
100 ug/L is 120 feet by 40 feet extending due north from the Church property. The plume and
the study area are well defined by a series of monitoring wells which allows for complete plume
definition.
As the TUSD Clover school site is approximately 650 feet due east of the Church property and
that the plume's east/west component is only 40 feet wide, there is no reason to suspect that the
COCs identified at the Church property have impacted the TUSD site.
Equal
Employment ISO 9001
Opportunity Employer cxcixecaixs oesicx
Worldwide Engineering, Environmental,Construction,and IT Services
