21 October 1996
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0106
SCOPE OF WORK
The UST site assessment of the site has indicted that petroleum-hydrocarbon impacted soil and
ground water are distributed across Beverly Place. The PHS-EHD has requested the lateral definition
of the impacted soil and ground water, north of Beverly Place. AGE has been granted access to
property at 101 West Beverly Place from the owner Mr. Al Patterson (See attached agreement).
AGE proposes to established two hand auger soil boring on the property at 101 West Beverly Place.
Both soil and grab ground water samples will be collected from the hand auger borings. Ground
water samples will be collected using polyethylene disposable bailers; samples will be collected in
40-m1 VOA vials preserved with hydrochloric acid. Soil samples will be collected from each boring,
beginning at 3 feet bsg, utilizing a metric soil sampler and pre-cleaned 2-inch by 6-inch brass
sleeves. Store the samples in a chilled container and transport under chain-of-custody procedure to
a state-certified laboratory for analysis. All soil and ground water samples will be analyzed for TPH-
g, BTE&X, MTBE.
Upon approval of the work plan, we will submit a boring permit, application fee and site specific
Site Health and Safety Plan to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental
Health Division. If you have any questions or require further information, please contact our office
at(209) 956-0264.
Sincerely,
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
William Little
Staff Geologist
enclosure
cc: Mr. Weldon Church
