Soil Vapor Survey Work Plan <br /> WELDON CHURCH PROPERTY <br /> 104 West Beverly Place,Tracy,California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Weldon Church, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE)has prepared the <br /> enclosed work plan for 104 West Beverly Place,Tracy,California(site).The scope of work includes <br /> the advancement of fifteen soil borings for the collection of soil and soil-vapor samples to further <br /> assess the potential for vapor intrusion of hydrocarbon-impacted soil. The location of the site is <br /> illustrated on Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. Site background information is <br /> provided in Appendix A. <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(SJCEHD)has directed the preparation <br /> of a work plan to assess the threat of vapor intrusion inside existing buildings located near the source <br /> area. This work plan is prepared in accordance with SJCEHD guidelines for the investigation of <br /> underground storage tanks(UST)sites.The work plan was prepared in accordance with the SJCEHD <br /> directive letter dated 21 February 2007 (Appendix B). <br /> This work plan provides a description of the scope of work and procedures for the advancement of <br /> four shallow soil borings and eleven separate soil-vapor borings. <br /> 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> AGE proposes to collect soil and soil-vapor samples to determine the lateral extent of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon-impact to soil present beneath the site and assess the threat of vapor intrusion to the <br /> building located near the source area. <br /> The site assessment will include the following tasks: <br /> • Pre-field work activities; <br /> • Soil and soil-vapor sample collection and analysis; <br /> • Report preparation <br /> The closure confirmation site a sessment tasks are discussed below. <br /> 2.1. PRE-FIELD WORK TASKS <br /> As required by the CVRWQCB,a site specific Health and Safety Plan will be prepared in accordance <br /> with Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
