Vicki McCartney [EH]
From: Brian Millman [bmillman@advgeoenv.com]
Sent: Wednesday, August 11, 2010 3:53 PM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Cc: dvillanueva@advgeoenv.com
Subject: RE: Boring B-27 Weldon Church
Attachments: Weldon Church Site Plan -with B-27.pdf
Hi Vicki, How are you? I hope your day is going well.
We added a soil boring to the scope of work based on the 11 May 2010 directive letter. The letter directed to
continuously core the two injection borings to compare and confirm lithologies. On 26 May 2010, by e-mail, I
explained to Nuel Henderson that the soil borings could not be used for injection purposes after continuously
coring. It would require additional borings to collect soil samples for lithology comparison. Nuel said he was
unaware that additional borings would be needed and to use my best judgment to obtain reliable results for the
intended purpose. I believe one soil boring continuously cored between the locations of the injection borings
will be adequate to confirm the location of the contact between the fine-grained and coarse-grained material. A
site plan depicting the proposed location of the soil boring is attached.
In addition, we will not be completing a Master File Record. If necessary you may bill AGE.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions or comments.
Thanks for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Brian W.
