Your staff
informed EHD on May 31, 2006, that since the concentrations remaining in the soil by
the dispensers exceeded Tier 1 screening levels that additional information was
required. In response to this request ARCO submitted a document titled "Risk Based
Corrective Action Analysis" dated June 29, 2007. EHD is again requesting concurrence -
on our determination that no further action is required at this site.
Enclosed is an updated "Case Closure Summary" and chronology for this site.
According to our Local Oversight Program contract with the State Water Resources
Control Board the "Case Closure Summary" is to be forwarded to you. If our agency
has not received written correspondence from you, detailing problems with closure of
this site, within 30 days of your receipt of this letter, our agency will request destruction
of the monitoring wells. Environmental Health Department will mail the responsible
party a "Case Closure Letter" ("No Further Action Letter") when all our requirements
have been met.
If you have any questions, please contact Margaret Lagorio at (209) 468-3449.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Margaret Lagorio, REHS
Program Coordinator Unit IV/LOP
Enclosure
cc: CVRWQCB —Jim Barton
ARCO-Don Pratt
