Hey guys,
Okay as for the acetone in the ERPE_01 (Trench). I see that it is noted. I do not know what would be the
source of that as we do not have acetone on site. Not sure if the CORRPRO had potentially an acetone
'blanket' in the container with it to help with loss of product through volatilization. I know they do that
with paint, but I am not aware if the CORRPRO has that. I will contact our vendor for it and get some
more information if you want.
Then the base sample was taken as I did not know the soil composition for the site itself and wanted a
comparison to the soil that was left in the trench. The trench sample was taken at the lowest point on
that back bend where the CORRPRO sat in concentration the longest, then the base was taken further
towards the entrance of the product into the trench, but it was up the side of the trench closer to the
fence line.
As we discussed when you guys were out on site,we were going to take a sample out in the field on the
other side of the fence, but for ease of sampling (since the bins also needed to be completed), I felt that
a sample where you guys observed it, was fine. And as for the results, there is no issue.
Okay I will work on the acetone information for you guys, and do not hesitate to let me know if you have
any other questions.
From:Garrett Backus [EH] fmailto:gbackus@sicehd.com]
Sent: Monday, February 27, 2017 1:20 PM
To:Jordan Cain <JCain@pacificethanol.com>
Cc: Haza Saeed [EH] <hsaeed@sjcehd.com>
Subject: RE: CORRPRO Spill-Sample Results
Hi Jordan,
Also, can you describe where the "base" sample was taken and why it was taken?
Thank you,
Garrett
From: Haza Saeed [EH]
Sent: Monday, February 27, 2017 1:14 PM
To: Jordan Cain; Garrett Backus [EH]
Subject: RE: CORRPRO Spill - Sample Results
Hi Jordan,
Can you please send me a copy of the disposal records?
