(Please see
attached sample reports.)
In accordance with Will Frieszell, Terracon Consulting, one sample (LH-1) had slightly elevated
results. That sample is directly west (about 1 foot and inside the field) of the north container
doorway. The results seem to direct no action at this time, however we would defer to you for a
second opinion and will follow your suggested remediation plan should once be required.
Standing by,
V/R
Mitch Slater
Director, Maintenance and Operations, Safety& Security
Lodi Unified School District
31 North Pacific Avenue(Location)
1305 East Vine Street(Mail)
Lodi, CA 95240
(209)331-7181(Work)
(209)331-7632(FAX)
(209)331-7193(Dispatch)
mslater(dlodiusd.net
From: Frieszell, Will M [mailto:Will.Frieszell(@Terracon.com]
Sent: Friday, December 22, 2017 1:44 PM
To: Mitch Slater(Maintenance & Operations)<mslater@lodiusd.net>
Subject: Lodi High School
Hey Mitch,
The last bit of that data for sample 21 is in, and I've attached it to this email. Looking at the data, the following items are
noted:
Per the ATSDR, ammonia may be present in background levels in soils in concentrations of approximately 1-5 parts per
million. Based on the sampling conducted, nitrogen detection was as high as 7.8 mg/Kg in the control samples collected,
with an average of 6.1 mg/Kg. The only sample observed to have higher concentrations than the control samples was
LH-1 (11 mg/Kg).
Chlorides were not detected above control samples in any of the soils collected.
1
