Report of Results
Investigation of Agricultural Chemicals in Soil
PurtGroBrca Facility
f 1905 North Broadway Ave-,Stockton,CA
I
Sierra-Pacific Project No,94-055.08
6.0 CONCLUSIONS
Physical soil types encountered during this investigation included primarily sandy silt, with lesser
amounts of silty fine to medium-grained sand and some slightly clayey silt. The moisture content of
` these soils increases generally with depth. Local zones of mineral cementation are present, rendering
thicknesses of up to i foot very hard. Effective soil permeability is generally low, ranging from 1.17
a
x 10-6 to 3.10 x 10' centimeters per second, as measured by the`PTS Laboratories, Inc.
f
Soil at the Broadway Avenue site is generally impacted by nitrogen concentrations. Of the 40 samples
f collected, only seven had total nitrogen concentrations less thana1,1100 mg/kg. While nitrogen as nitrate
concentrations generally attenuate with depth, ammoniacal nitrogen, reflected in TKN values, shows no
attenuation. HVOCs are not present in the areas investigated.
i
Y
l
i
i
1 ,
j
i
I
Sierra-Pacific Groundwater Consultants, Inc. 13
s.
li !
