02 November 1999
AGE-NC Project No. 99-0628
Page 8of8
• Longer-chain hydrocarbons were detected in stockpiled soil samples at concentrations up to
7,100 mg/kg.
7.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based upon data reviewed and collected at the site, AGE recommends:
• Transportation and disposal of the stockpiled soil to an appropriate landfill facility.
• Advancement of additional soil borings in the area of the dry wells to delineate the lateral
and vertical extent of hydrocarbon- and VOC-impacted soil. Borings should be advanced
using either traditional hollow-stem auger drilling or direct push technology (DPT) sampling
techniques.
• Collection of at least one grab ground water sample from the area of the former dry wells to
assess for potential petroleum- or VOC-impact to ground water beneath the site.
'~ 8.0. LIMITATIONS
AGE's professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised
by environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluations of the geologic/hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation were made from a limited number of
available data points (i.e., soil boring samples) and subsurface conditions may vary beyond these
data points. No other warranty. expressed or implied, is made as to the professional
recommendations contained in this report.
Advanced Geo£nvironmental,Inc.
