_ 19 November 1999
AGE-NC Project No. 99-0604
The well screen section will be installed across the observed water table Ievel with five feet of screen
section extending above and fifteen feet of screen section extending below the water table level.
Based on available information, it is anticipated that the total depth of the monitoring wells will be
approximately 70 feet bsg. Wells will be completed as described in Section 4.3.
Following well installation, the wells will be developed to maximize water flow into the well and
minimize the amount of fine-grained sediment drawn into the well during purging for monitoring
- events. Field procedures for monitoring well installation and development are presented in Sections
4.3 and 4.4, respectively.
The elevations of the finished ground water monitoring well-casing tops will be surveyed by a
licenced surveyor.
3.4.4. Ground Water Sample Collection and Analysis
Following installation and development of the monitoring wells, one ground water monitoring and
sampling event will be conducted at the site. Ground water samples will be collected from the
proposed monitoring wells and submitted for laboratory analysis. Ground water samples will be
analyzed for TPH-g, BTEX and fuel oxygenating compounds following the methods presented i;1
Section 3.3. Additionally, monitoring activities will include recording depth to ground water
measurements. Ground water sample collection procedures are described in Section 4.5.
3.5. REPORT PREPARATION
Upon completion of field work and receipt of the final laboratory results. a report will be prepared
presenting the findings of the investigation. The report will include a description of the work
performed and results of the sampling and analysis. Conclusions and applicable recommendations
will be included in the report. The report will be in a format acceptable to the PHS-EHD and the
CVRWQCB. and will be reviewed and signed by a California Registered Geologist.
4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES
All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative working under the supervision of
a California Registered Geologist. Procedures for soil sampling, ground water sampling, equipment
decontamination and sample shipment are as follows.
Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc.
