Before receiving a PHS/EHD corrective action directive;land in order to receive <br /> the SWRCB Clean up Fund Letter of Committment, you must make application to <br /> the State of California Water Resources Control B'oard's (SWRCB) Petroleum <br /> Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund" (Fund) . Ari application package for the <br /> Fund has been provided. <br /> rG <br /> The Fund was created pursuant to Chapter 6.75 of the California Health and <br /> Safety Code to help eligible owners and operators of petroleum underground <br /> i storage tanks to: <br /> 1. Meet federal requirements to demonstrate financial responsibility; <br /> 2. Obtain reimbursement for costs of thelcle"up of unauthorized <br /> releases of petroleum from USTs; and ` <br /> 1! <br /> 3. Obtain reimbursement for damages awarded to third parties who are <br /> injured by petroleum releases. <br /> ;M <br /> The maximum amount available from the Fund is $990,000ilper occurrence. <br /> Claimants are responsible for the first $10,000 ofeligible costs. <br /> Applications must be submitted to the SWRCB Clean;I Up Fund by lurch 31, 1994 to <br /> undergo eligibility ranking for funding is the 1994-95;Mstate fiscal budget <br /> year.
