Brookside Rd.
Stockton, CA
Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) has
reviewed the 1990 Third Quarter Report for the above referenced
site and has the following comments:
1. During a brief site visit December 1, 1990, it was noted
that the traffic box which protects the well head of MW#1
has been badly damaged. It is strongly advised, to
insure the integrity of the well, that this traffic box
be replaced. Additionally, minor repair -to the cement
slope around MW#3 may prevent s',imilar damage from
occurring.
2 . It has been determined that theltesting of the original
constituents (BTEX, TPH-G and TPH-D) !'as well as quarterly
sampling, rather than semi-annual, be maintained due to
the inconclusiveness of the results collected to date.
3 . WaterWork has recommended that the monthly monitoring of
tidal action, as related to the ;`grou`ndwater gradient, be
reduced. A reduction is viewed" as reasonable, however, .
PHS/EHD would like this data to be included and
correlated to the results gathered during the quarterly
sampling events.
4 . Since the data collected from lithe jmonitoring wells is
inconsistent, perhaps your consultant could suggest some
possible explanations for the; contradictory results.
Please include these comments& in ; the next quarterly
report as they can provide beneificial insight into what
may be happening at this very unique site.
i
1
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Car ebyServices!e
k
