(AGE)for the above referenced site. Four monitoring wells
(MW-1, -2, -3, and -4)were installed at the site in July 1998, and MW-5 and MW-6 were added in
May 2000. The level of groundwater in MW-2 has decreased from 28.69 feet in October 1998 to
28.09 in December 2000, although MW-1 has decreased by more than 2 feet over the same
period. The groundwater flow direction has been typically northwestward with occasional swings
to the north. Groundwater flow gradient was calculated to be around 0.01 in 1998 and 1999, and
0.003 in September 1999. The groundwater flow gradient is currently at 0.007 ft/ft. MW-2 is
located approximately 15 feet northwest of the southern most underground storage tank (UST)
cluster(Tanks#2, 4, and 5). MW-5 is approximately 50 feet north of MW-2, and MW-6 is
approximately 50 feet east-northeast of MW-2. MW-1 is southeast of MW-2 and at the edge of
the above-mentioned tank cluster. Analytical results of the water samples of MW-1, -2, -5, and -6
from July 1998 and December 2000 are as follows:
Total Petroleum H drocarbon as Gasoline TPH- concentration in !I:
MW-1 MW-2 MW-5 MW-6
Jul 1998 <50 2,400 ---- ----
Oct 1998 <50 5,800 ----
0
--- ---"
Jan 1999 <50 2,700 ---- ----
June 1999 <50 230 ---- '---
Se t 1999 <50 130 ---- 2
May 2000 <50 99 2,200 2,100
Aug2000 <50 <50 11,000 5,100
Dec 2000 74 2800 2,100 410
Benzene concentration in 11:
MW4 MW-2 MW-5 MW-6
July 1998 <0.5 <0.5 ---- ----
Oct 1998 0.77 1,200 ---- --'-
.fan 1999 <0.5 340 ---- ----
June 1999 <0.5 27 ---- ----
Se t 1999 <0,5 19 ----
May 2000 <0.5 15 110 0.55
Aug2000
<0.5 7.7 690 <1.0
Dec 2000 0.58 340 98 <0.5
Analytical results of MW-3 and MW-4 are not included in the table above because they were
primarily non-detect.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
