On a regular basis they prepare meals for the elderly
who attend bingo and other activities there. In the last two weeks I have witnessed on numerous occasions unsafe food handling
and preparation. Example: poultry left in the sink to thaw for over twenty four hours before it was prepared for the elderly to eat.
The Services Director was asked to replace the poultry as it was not safe for consumption. Also poultry was delivered by the
County for what they call commodities at 10:00 AM for the community. The poultry was placed on the floor where it was left for
distribution the following day. The Services Director was asked to pint the poultry under proper refrigeration. In both cases he
refused. He claimed he knew what he was doing.
Please, address this issue ASAP as I fear for the safety of the publicMU
I
i
I
8/19/2010
i
