The site will be added to the Local Contaminated
Site Database maintained by PHS-EHD.
Since no groundwater contamination was detected in this first and
only sampling event, PHS-EHD recommends that confirmation
groundwater sampling be conducted under staff witness to verify
and confirm the groundwater status . Please continue to sample
for constituents previously analyzed in the first round of
samples .
If this confirmation sampling verifies that the groundwater from
the three wells has not been impacted, PHS-EHD, upon request, can
provide oversight for the soil investigation and remediation
should you wish site certification.
In order to develop the property in the area of the documented
soil contamination, PHS-EHD will require the soil contamination
plume to be laterally defined. Results from additional soil
samples from the area around MW-3-2 will aid in determining the
extent of the soil impacted and will provide data so PHS-EHD can
evaluate the site .
Future results of subsurface investigations should be reported to
PHS-EHD in a report format consistent with the Tri-Regional
Guidelines, Appendix A. Please ensure that only acceptable
detection limits are utilized. Elevated detection limits that
report the analytes as "non-detect" will not be accepted as valid
and will have to be repeated in order to verify site conditions . -
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
