Investigation and remediation,
if required, will be directed by PHS-EHD in preparation for
review and certification by CVRWQCB.
Currently these sites are listed as separate parcels as assigned
by the County Assessor and, as such, will be investigated as
separate sites by PHS-EHD. Although one workplan may be
submitted now, all future reports, workplans, and submittals
shall reflect separate identities and be labeled as "Nicolaw
Property" or "Souza Property" .
Overtime review of the workplan was completed early November 16 ,
1994 after written approval for the overtime was received on
November 15 , 1994 , via facsimile .
Due to site specific conditions known to be in the Byron Road
area, PHS-EHD recommends that continuous soil coring be utilized
during monitoring well construction. The currently proposed five
foot sampling technique may not allow for true exposure of the
soil conditions since only two samples will probably be obtained
per well . A continuous coring will provide a complete visual
opportunity and AHS-EHD feels that this will more adequately
define soil conditions above the saturated zone . Samples may be
obtained from the most obviously contaminated layer of soil .
A Division of San Joaquin Caunty Health Care Services
