Th*
results of these pdases of investigation h4sve pravi4u8ly been
submitted to your offioo. This workplan= covvre both the parcel
previously investigated by Torrasearch and the adjacent parcel to
the wont ff4gure 1) . At this time the property owners va nt to
characterizes the site adequately prior to proceeding with sits
development.
Secawe the extent of contamination in soil and groundwater at the
site bat not coupiately defined we propose to install d monitoring
wells to a depth of approxim=ately 10 feet below first ancouvTt+red
groundwater (estimated 5 +/- feet) at the locations show=n an the
attached site plats (figure 2). walls will be complwted tram
surface to b feet with 2 inch FVC casing and from 5 to 10 feet with
.010 inch factory slotted PVC careen. Dum to the pruxtaity of the
grourid surface the sand pack will exta td only 0.5 feet above the
top of the screen slots. These wall borings will be dalspled at a
minimum of five foot intervals for logging purposes. A Sail saaple
will also ba collected from just above the saturated zona and
submitted for laboratory analysis. These samples will be analyas■d
for Benzene, Toluene. rthylbenzene and uylasnert (STEX) and Total
Gasoline Hydrocarbons as qac, diesel and crude oil (TPHGID/C) by
standard 2PA/11011S mathods,
Upon couplstion the new wells will be developed by surging and
pumping until turbidity is minisized. The welts will be purged 48
hours later. h minimum of threw well voluneri (casing and
sandpack) will be re=moved using pH, te=mperature and electrical
conductivity otnbilizatibn as param$tef8 for "timatinq sample
reprosentativerrsss. A water samplo frost► each well will be
submitted for MX and TPHG/DIC ana lyrsia, Prior to sampling, vator
levels will be obtained frosty all site wells. All wellheads will he
surveyed to a oo=son clatum. Laboratory services will be provided
by Appollo Analytics Inc,, a State c*rtified Laboratory.
POc[ 49fiee Box 130 a Milford, Cs. 96121 + Pb. 5116-";4.2155+ Fax 914-253-Z 94
