The Plan was
submitted by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) on behalf of Chevron.
The Site is along West Byron Road in west-central Tracy, southeast of California Interstate
Highway 205.
In September 2004, Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (Central Valley
Water Board) staff approved a workplan to investigate the lateral and vertical extent of
impacted soil and groundwater associated with the Site. A revised workplan submitted in
February 2007 was approved by Central Valley Water Board staff.
' Access to properties where proposed boring locations had been approved could not be
obtained from the owners after several attempts. It was eventually decided to relocate the
original locations to adjacent parcels where access would be obtained. According to the
November 2009 Plan, access to three parcels has been granted on locations upgradient of the
Site that are acceptable to Central Valley Water Board staff. SAIC is proposiny one soli
boring on each property to obtain soil and/or groundwater samples.
In the event petroleum hydrocarbon affected soil and/or groundwater are encountered, a
representative sample(s) will be collected and submitted for fuel fingerprint analysis by
Chevron.
Central Valley Water Board staff concurs with the proposed boring and sampling locations
By 15 July 2010, please submit your final report.
' California Environmental Protection Agency
?Recycled Paper
