ii
through. Delays in reimbursement from the UST Fund had exhausted available financial
resources.
90 All Monitoring Wells were sampled on March 9, 2010.
Monitoring Wells MW-10 was installed on 7/12/10 and MW-11 was installed on 7/13/10.
On 10/4/10 the remaining request for reimbursement was approved for payment and funds have
95 since been received.
Monitoring well MW-2 casing was trimmed on 3/31/11 and new elevation data collected on
6/2/11.
100 On 5/5/11 the EDH issued direction to re-start the pump and treat system and to provide an
evaluation of the Granular Activated Carbon (G.A.C.) treatment system. Foothill Engineering
recommended augmenting the G.A.C. with a bio-reactor on 6/28/11. Foothill Engineering is
awaiting approval of the bio-reactor prior to restarting the pump and treat system.
105 This site is on a modified sampling schedule the 3/23/12 sampling is the bi-annual all well
sampling event. On 3/23/12 the well pump was removed because the suspension chain had
rusted through and instilled serve distortion in the piping making it unsafe to operate.
110 REPORT OF FINDINGS FOR THE FIRST QTR 2012 MONITORING EVENT
The groundwater pump and treat system was shut down on 2/7/09. A modified monitoring
schedule has been approved by San Joaquin County EHD in order to stay in compliance with the
State of California requirements. This is the high water monitoring event for 2012 as required by
115 the END letter of March 5, 2009 and modified by the May 5, 2011 letter. This sampling event is
the bi-annual all well monitoring event.
2. PROCEDURE
On March 23, 2012 Del Tech Geotechnical Support Services extracted water samples from all
120 wells. The work was supervised by Foothill Engineering. Foothill Engineering also removed the
pump from EW-1 since the suspension chain had rusted through and instilled serve distortion in
the piping making it unsafe to operate.
All wells were sounded for depth to water prior to disturbance. All wells were sampled using the
125 tube with check valve pump system. MW-2R, and MW-3R were purged at 0.25gpi-n. MW-1,
MW-IR,and MW-3 were purged at 0.5gpm. MW-2, MW-5, MW-6, MW-7S, MW-8S, MW-8D,
MW-9, MW-10 and MW-11 were purged at I.Ogpm. EW-1 was purged at 3.Ogpm. The wells
were purged for three casing volumes and sampled for analysis. The physical properties of the
groundwater can be found in the Del-Tech Field Report, which is in Exhibit E.
3 of 82
