b
PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF FINDINGS REGARDING
CORRECTIVE ACTION FLAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a corrective action plan for remediation of a formerly
leaking gasoline underground storage tank {UST} site located at 300 S. California Street,
in the City of Stockton (APN 149-095-01) on the southeast corner of Lafayette and
California Streets has been reviewed by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (EHD). The plan is a proposal for mitigation of hazardous substances
(ground water extraction, treatment, and discharge to sewer) that has contaminated
the site due to an unauthorized release associated with the USTs that were formerly
located on the property.
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department-Local Oversight Program
(LOP) has made a tentative determination that the plan is in compliance with Local, State,
and Federal laws and regulations and that the resultant work will not create significant
adverse environmental impacts which exceed the benefits to be gained from cleanup of
the contamination.
The corrective action plan is available for public review at the EHD, 600 E. Main Street
Stockton, California, during normal working hours (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m). If a written
request by any member of the public is not received at the EHD by 5:00 p.m. Friday,
June 8, 2007, the tentative decision shall become final on that date and time.
All requests for public hearings must be filed in writing to "EHD-LOP" at 600 E. Main
Street, Stockton, 95202-3029. Questions regarding the specific site concerns or
procedures should be directed to Michael Infurna, Senior Registered
Environmental Health Specialist, at (209) 468-3454 during normal working hours.
Dated: June 1, 2007
By: Donna Heran, Director
Environmental Health Department
j
Site posted: June 1,2007
