Site Background Information : Stallworth Auto Sales
Page 11 of 11
QUARTERLY GROUND WATER MONITORING PROGRAM
Quarterly ground water monitoring commenced June 2000 ; to date , thirty-six ground water
monitoring events have been conducted at the site . Ground water flow direction at the site
has been consistently towards the northeast to east. Since December 2005 , COC have
been detected in all wells except MW-3 through MW-5 . The highest concentration of
dissolved hydrocarbons continues to be in the area of the former USTs ; TPH-g , TPH-d ,
BTEX constituents , and 1 ,2-DCA are present in significant concentrations in monitoring
well MW- 1A and MW-8 . Newly installed wells , MW- 10 and MWA I (screened from 60 to
70 feet bsg ) contained high detections of COC during the first quarter 2008 sampling event,
the commencement of sampling for the two wells . The lateral extent of hydrocarbon-
impacted ground water withing the 60 to 70 feet bsg ground water bearing zone is unknown
to the north and northeast.
SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION REMEDIATION
Between 14 September 2010 (start-up) and 22 August 2011 , an SVE remediation system
was operated at the site , utilizing a natural gas-fired , thermal/catalytic oxidizer SVE system
to selectively apply an induced vacuum to wells VW-1 , VW-2 , VW-3 and VW-4 . SVE
procedures for the site were described in AGE-prepared Interim Soil Remediation Work
Plan (dated 25 July2008 ) and approved bythe San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (SJCEHD ) by letter dated 25 July 2008 .
Based on influent sampling results the onsite SVE system has removed an estimated
10, 201 pounds , equivalent to 1 , 632 gallons of adsorbed petroleum hydrocarbons from
vadose zone soils at the site .
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
