I
Additional Site Assessment Work Plan - January 2008
STALLWORTH AUTO SALES
602 North California Street, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr. Gary Stallworth of Stallworth Auto Sales, Advanced GcoEnvironmental, Inc.
(AGE) has preparedthe enclosed workplan for the property at 602 North California Street, Stockton,
California (the site) . This work plan was prepared as required by the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (EHD) by letter dated 05 September 2008, to continue delineation
of the lateral extent of the deep, off-site petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted groundwater; specifically
the scope will investigate the water-bearing zone at approximately 70 feet below surface grade (bsg) .
A copy of the EHD directive letter is included in Appendix A. Site background information is
included in Appendix B . The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 ; a plan of the site and
I
surrounding properties is illustrated on Figure 2.
This work plan provides a description of the scope of work and procedures to be used for soil boring
advancement, monitoring well installation, soil and ground water sample collection and analysis, and
boring abandonment. This plan was prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank (UST)
sites.
2.0. SCOPE OF WORK
Based on analytical data from existing monitoring wells screened within the 70 feet bsg
water-bearing zone and Cone Penetrometer Testing borings, the lateral extent of the hydrocarbon
impacted ground water within this water-bearing zone is undefined north, northeast of monitoring
wells MW40 andMW-11, which containhigh concentrations of dissolved petroleum-hydrocarbons .
The EHD has required additional ground water investigation be performed to define and confirm the
lateral extent of the dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon contamination.
The proposed scope of work will include the following tasks :
i
• Permitting and pre-field work activities;
• Soil boring advancement and sample collection;
• Monitoring well installation and sampling; and
• Report preparation.
Each of these tasks is described in greater detail below.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
