Ground Water Sample Collection and Analysis
Following installation and development of the monitoring wells, one ground water monitoring and
sampling event will be conducted at the site. Ground water samples will be collected from the
proposed monitoring wells and submitted for laboratory analysis._,Ground water samples will be
analyzed for BTEX, TPH-g, TPH-d, fuel oxygenating compounds, 1,2-DCA and EDB following the
analytical methods presented in Section 3.3. Additionally, monitoring activities will include
recording depth to ground water measurements. Ground water sample collection procedures are
described in Section 4.5.
3.5. REPORT PREPARATION
Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared
presenting the findings of the investigation. The report will include a description of the work
performed and the results of the sampling and analysis. Conclusions and applicable
recommendations will be included in the report. The report will be in a format acceptable to the
PHS-EHD and the CVRWQCB, and will be reviewed and signed by a California Registered
Geologist.
4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES
All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California
Registered Geologist. Procedures for the advancement of soil borings, soil sampling, ground water
sampling, monitoring well installation and development, equipment decontamination and sample
shipment are outlined below.
4.1. SOIL SAMPLING PROCEDURES
The soil boring will be advanced using hollow-stem auger drilling techniques. The drill rig will be
equipped with 8.25-inch diameter hollow-stem augers. Soil samples will be collected at five-foot
depth intervals. Soil sampling procedures are outlined in the AGE-prepared, Additional Site
Assessment Work Plan dated 22 February 2000 and approved by PHS-EHD.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
