. _ a
ARCO Sites ,
Page 3
225 Cherokee & 501 Kettleman continued
ARCO stated they would measure depth to water in the wells annually,
ensure the wells are maintained in good condition, and submit annual
reports of this to PHSIEHD. PHS/EHD informed ARCO that staff time to
review the reports and make site inspections as necessary would be
charged to ARCO according to the PHSIEHD hourly rate fee (currently
$78/hour). Enclosed are the billing forms required to be completed and
returned to PHSIEHD prior to approval of retaining the on site vapor and
monitoring wells. It was agreed that all off site wells would be destroyed.
In addition, to the above site specific discussions, it was also discussed that
quarterly reports should be submitted to PHSIEHD prior to sampling of the wells
in the following quarter and that samples are to be analyzed for five oxygenates
using EPA method 8260 unless otherwise agreed to by PHSIEHD on a site
specific basis. Enclosed is a letter from PHSIEHD to responsible parties
directing this sample analysis.
If you have any questions contact me at (209) 468-3449.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Margaret Lagorio, REHS, Supervisor
Site Mitigation Unit
c: CVRWQCB - Pat Anderson
ARCO - Kyle Christie
EMCON - Jay Johnson, Joel Coffman
SECOR - Greg Barclay
LOP files
