The April 15, 1999 Workplan to Further Assess Hydrocarbon-impacted Soil <br /> and Groundwater (Pinnacle) proposed cone penetrometer testing to asses subsurface <br /> conditions in order to assess the lateral and vertical extent of impacts to soil, Pinnacle <br /> will now collect soil samples at five-foot intervals CPT profiles will not be performed <br /> ti 1° The change in scope. will allow evaluaticin of boil impacts during this phase of <br /> investigation. <br /> 1brec to four soil samples per boring will be submitted to a state certifiers analytical <br /> laboratory (Sequoia Analytical) and analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as <br /> gasoline (TPHG) and the gasoline constituents benzene, toluene, cthylbenzcrne and total <br /> xylenes (BTEX) using U.S Environmental Protection Agency Methods 8015/8020 to <br /> provide information for additional lateral and vertical plume definition Additionally, <br /> these samples will be analyzed using Method 8260 for MTBE and othcx oxygenates. <br /> Samples submitted for analysis will be selected based upon field observations and results <br /> of prior site assessments.
