First, an cement slab was <br /> discovered beneath the tank and second, the tank pit was filled <br /> with pea gravel. Both of these situations prevented the collection <br /> of soil samples from beneath the tank utilizing a backhoe bucket, <br /> as originally planned. <br /> To complete the tank closure, RESNA InduE tries amends the original <br /> 11 <br /> sampling plan, as outlined in San Joaquin County Tank Removal <br /> Guidelines, as follows: <br /> i <br /> • Drill utilizing a State licensed C-57 drill rig, one soil <br /> boring through the center of the cement slab, and drill four <br /> soil borings around the perimeter of the cement slab, <br /> t collecting samples for laboratory 1ianalysis with a modified <br /> California split-spoon sampler. <br /> s � <br /> l <br /> II� <br /> I <br />
