The plan (ozone injection and soil vapor extraction) is a proposal
for mitigation of hazardous substances that have contaminated the site due to an
unauthorized release associated with the former USTs that were located on the property.
The EHD - Local Oversight Program (LOP) has made a tentative determination that the
plan is in compliance with Local, State, and Federal laws and regulations and that the
resultant work will not create significant adverse environmental impacts which exceed the
benefits to be gained from cleanup of the contamination.
The corrective action plan is available for public review at the EHD, 600 E. Main Street,
Stockton, California, during normal working hours (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m). If a written
request by any member of the public is not received at the EHD by 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, January 10 2008, the tentative decision shall become final on that date
and time.
All requests for public hearings must be filed in writing to "EHD-LOP" at 600 E. Main
Street, Stockton, 95202. Questions regarding the specific site concerns or
procedures should be directed to Michael Infurna, Senior Registered
Environmental Health Specialist, at (209) 468-3454 during normal working hours.
Dated: January 3, 2008
By: Donna Heran, Director
Environmental Health Department
Site posted: 1-3-08
