In the directive letter the EHD, requested that <br /> you submit a Well Destruction Report, Case Closure Report and a Record Fee Title Owner <br /> (RTO). Please refer to the directive letter dated 16 June 2014 for further details on the <br /> reports and submit them at your earliest convenience. An additional RTO is included. <br /> The EHD approved destruction of two monitor wells (MW-7 and MW-21) and permanent soil <br /> vapor probe (SV-2) prior to case closure to accommodate impending construction by the site <br /> occupant. Our records indicate that (24) monitor wells and (6) permanent soil vapor probes <br /> still remain in on site. In order to approve the destruction of the remaining wells left on site <br /> and approve closure, a public participation period for case closure consideration must be <br /> conducted. Therefore, as required by the Low-Threat Closure Policy (LTCP), please notify <br /> - — J municipal-arrd county water-districts; water replenishment districts, special-act districts-with <br /> groundwater management authority, agencies with authority to issue building permits for <br /> land affected by the petroleum release, owners and occupants of the property impacted by <br /> the petroleum release, and the owners and occupants of all parcels adjacent to the <br /> impacted property" of the pending case closure and of their opportunity to submit comments <br /> or questions regarding the pending closure to this agency. Those to be notified include, but <br /> are not limited to: California Water Service Company in Stockton, City of Stockton Water <br /> District, San Joaquin County Public Water Utilities Maintenance, East Water District, <br /> Stockton Community Development Department and Stockton Public Works Department. <br /> Please submit a draft notice to the EHD to be issued to the public regarding the pending <br /> case closure with the 60-day comment period noted. A sample notice is included for your <br /> reference. The EHD will review the notice along with the list of agencies and <br /> owners/occupants who will receive the public participation letter. Once approved, you may <br /> have it sent to the appropriate parties. The public will have sixty days to comment.
