• r • 28 August 2000 AGE-NC Project No. 97-0249 Page 4 of 10 The CPT borings shall be advanced to approximately 150 feet bsg utilizing a 25-ton truck-mounted CPT drill rig equipped with 2-inch diameter hollow-stem rods;however,total depths of borings may vary according to hydrogeologic conditions encountered during drilling activities. Grab ground water samples will be collected in intervals of porous and permeable material. Selected ground water samples will be analyzed by a State of California Department of Health Services (DHS)-certified laboratory for the following constituents: • EPA Method 8015 Modified/5030 for TPH-d; • EPA Method 8015 Modified/5030 for TPH-g; • EPA Method 602 for BTEX; • EPA Method 8260 modified for tertiary butanol (TBA), di-isopropyl ether(RIPE), ethyl tert butyl ether(ETBE) and tert amyl methyl ether(TAME), and MTBE. • EPA Method 8260 modified for methanol, ethanol, 1,2-Dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) and ethylene dibromide (EDB). • EPA Method 7420 for total lead. Laboratory reports for ground water analysis, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control(QA/QC)reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report with findings and recommendations. 3.3. DRILLING AND SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION AGE proposes to install six ground water monitoring wells at the site as part of site assessment activities. Proposed well locations are illustrated in Figure 2. Based on soil and ground water contamination encountered beneath the former UST area, AGE proposes ground water monitoring wells in the following locations: • Between 150 and 160 feet south of monitoring well MW-1 to assess dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations near the southern boundary of the property; • Between 100 and 110 feet south of monitoring well MW-6 to assess the dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons near the western boundary of the property; • Between 95 and 105 feet east of monitoring well MW-3 to assess the extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons down gradient of the former UST area; Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
