• i
Richard Bokides page 2
6421 W. Capitol / Paddock PI., Lodi
Due to a low occurrence of false positives with EPA Method 8020 scanning for MTBE,
PHS-EHD will require at least one sample per site which is positive for MTBE to be
analyzed by EPA Method 8260A or 8240B to verify the correct identification of MTBE.
Detection limits should be low enough to verify that the current action level has not
been exceeded and the analysis is to be included in the report of findings submitted to
PHS-EHD within 60 days of the end of the field work.
A workplan that incorporates the above mentioned items shall be submitted to
PHS-EHD by July 15, 1997 along with the necessary boring permit applications,
access agreements, and fees. The field work shall start within 30 days of the
permit issuance.
After PHS-EHD has evaluated the data collected during this required phase of
investigation you will be notified if further investigation or remediation is required.
Please continue to direct your submittals to Michael Infurna and you may call him at
(209) 468-3454 should you wish to discuss your site.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Michael Infurna, Senior REHS Margarets agorio, REf9S
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV Supervisor
MI/
c: Rishwain & Rishwain - Scott Rishwain, 2800 W.
