Ground-water contours and flow direction for the June data set is indicated on <br /> Plate P-4. <br /> 3.7 Canvass of Nearby Neils <br /> Both the Department of Water Resources (DWR) and the City of Stockton Public Works <br /> Department were contacted regarding locations of public and private water supply wells within <br /> one-half mite of the site. The City of Stockton Public Works Departrrent indicated one well is <br /> located within one-half mile of the station. City of Stockton Well No. 11 is located at the corner <br /> of Inglewood and Leslie. Two other wells, located near the corner of Brentwood and Coral,and <br /> Highmore and Galloway are located slightly greater than one-half mile from the site. <br /> A number of private wells are located within I,OOO feet to the west and southwest of the site in <br /> a county residential area. Carden School (parochial high school) whic.t has its own well is <br /> located approximately $OO feet northwest of the site. A number of wells are located in a small <br /> commercial center south of the site. According to Mr.Ray Borges of the City of Stockton, these <br /> wells are no longer being used. The occupants currently utilize the City water system. <br /> 4.0 EVALUATION <br /> The frllowing sections present our evaluation of the findings of field and laboratory <br /> investigations. <br /> 4.1 Gasoline Range Hydrocarbons in Soil <br /> The following is.a summary of the occurrence of gasoline range hydrocarbons indicated by analysis <br /> of soil samaples collected from the four borings: <br /> Boring B-1 (MW-1): Gasoline range hydrocarbons were detected in all soil samples <br /> analyzed. The highest concentrations of TPHg were de!ected at 15 and 45 feet(37 mg/kg <br /> and 23 mg/kg, respectively).
